On 9th November 2011 I first visited the new Zindra regions and this week the regions have been renamed to Adult Hub names which is good news. There was confusion about the Zindra name from the SL community during the past week on the SL Forums. Its encouraging to hear that it’s been resolved quickly by Linden Lab and the hub management team.
The big opening day for the new Adult Hub regions will be on 2nd December 2011 apparently and preparations are underway.

I’m on the same fence I was on before on this name thing, though now in reverse…
(which makes little sense).
The purpose of the central Hub is to do what argumentative resident groups failed to do: increase SL use and awareness of adult regions for a variety of different purposes.
Naming it Adult Hub makes sense for that, but not having the word Zindra associated with it hurts the effort. Zindra may be the minority of the relevant sims, but they’re the mainland ones; and thus the higher profile ones.
Searches of Zindra -should- funnel people through a -useful- entry into the content – which is what we hope these Hubs will become.
I suppose we shall see in time. I think they need a 5th category that covers some other forms of adult content – there’s a wide sway outside of the categories listed.
But a name other than ‘other’ escapes me. 😉
