Today I went to visit the well-known Britannia Village & Seaside destination in Second Life which is full of nice areas to visit like Pier 7Seas Fishing, the seaside, The Tower of London, Stonehenge and more. It’s a wonderful location to visit in Second Life and I strongly recommend everyone to visit the Britannia Village & Seaside in 2014.

Relay Rockers Return for 10th Consecutive Relay For Life of Second Life
Will Walk in Memory of Co-Founder Alliez Mysterio
Team Announces 2014 CRFB Top DJ Competition Schedule
Arinultra Cay, Second Life January 6, 2014 : The Relay Rockers announced today their plans to once again return to the virtual world’s largest event, the Relay For Life of Second Life. The team which was formed at Rue dAlliez in 2005 is the only team to participate in every relay held in SL. The Rockers were Co- Founded by T1Radio’s Trader Whiplash and Nuala Maracas and the late Alliez Mysterio of dAlliez Estates and will be walking this year in memory of Alliez, who passed away this past fall of Breast Cancer. Their 2014 slogan will be “10 Years Walking Strong “
The Rockers are the creators of the extremely popular Bid Me Bald fund-raiser and the annual Celebrate Remember Fight Back Top DJ Competition and will once again be holding these events as the core of their fund raising plans for 2014. They have been a consistent presence at the top of the Team Totals page and have garnered many relay awards during the past 9 years including Top Convio Team, several Campsite Cancer Awareness trophies and the 2013 “Stinky” Trophy.
The Rockers also announced today their plans for the 2014 Celebrate Remember Fight Back Top DJ Competition. The competition, which will kick off March 15th, is a fund raising activity which pits 24 DJs against each other, to gather votes by donations to a dedicated Relay For Life Kiosk. The event is divided into four rounds. The competitors begin with 1 hour preliminary sets. The top 8 finishers will then compete in a playoff divided into Quarter and Semi Final rounds. The top 2 remaining DJs face off against each other, playing 2 hour sets each. The team is once again finalizing plans for the Finals to be held during the annual Halfway There Fair weekend.
Since its start the competition has raised more than L$2.65 million to support the American Cancer Society. This year the team hopes to include several partner venues, DJ – streaming clubs, who will host preliminary rounds. Both 2012 winner Dee Wolfe and 2013 Top DJ Champion Chevelley Silentghost plan to enter to defend and return to the TOP DJ title. Applications are available in Second Life by contacting competition director Ariel Stormcrow (firstname.lastname@example.org). Clubs interested in becoming Partner Venues can contact Trader Whiplash (email@example.com) for more information. Competitors and Venues must adhere to the guidelines set by both the Relay Rockers and American Cancer Society as to content, and by broadcast provider T1Radio.
Bid Me Bald, which was begun in 2007 to honor founder Trader Whiplash during his treatment for Leukemia, is a fund-raiser in which volunteers pledge to go Bald one day for each L$5000 raised. The team will once again be seeking volunteers to be Bid Bald to support Relay For Life of Second Life. Volunteers need not be a relay participant and can contact any team member for more information.
The Relay Rockers will be led this year by “Founding Captains” Nuala Maracas (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Trader Whiplash and 2014 Captain Ariel Stormcrow. The team is sponsored by LEGENDS Classic Rock and dAlliez Estates.
Sounds like a fun competition and hopefully in 2014 new SL RFL records will be set. We need to support RFL events and spread the word in Second Life during 2014. 🙂
