Bellisseria Officially Turns Five In Second Life

Fourze – Mid April 2019

Today marks Bellisseria official 5th anniversary since Linden Lab first announced the second generation of Linden Homes on the official Second Life blog. There were just two Linden Home themed styles during the first launch release back on 15th April 2019 including Traditional and Houseboats. Over the past five years more Linden home themes were launched exclusive to Premium members offering bigger homes, new exciting landscapes, new waterways, community areas, new railway networks, network of roads, new underground tunnels and much more.

When the Bellisseria continent first opened to the public there were 384 regions on the grid. Today there are over 8, 340 regions relating to the Bellisseria continent which is supermassive and more new LH regions will be added over the next 6-12 months which will be amazing. The Bellisseria continent connects with Heterocera, Sansara and Jeogeot continents in Second Life.

The first 80 SSP regions arrived for Bellisseria back on 20th August 2008 way before the grand opening on 15th April 2009. The community was trying to guess what SSP meant and how big the new land mass was going to get back then. There was so much discussion about this that the lab kindly set up a new Linden Homes section on the Second Life forums which is still going after 5 years.

It’s been good to track development progress over the past five years and on the Second Life forums. I will be blogging more on the latest new developments in the weeks/months ahead.

Here’s to another five years+ for the Bellisseria continent in Second Life.

Happy 5th Anniversary, Bellisseria.
