Second Life User Daily Concurrency – April 2024 Update


The current Second Life user daily concurrency remains flat still after four months into 2024. The Second Life user daily concurrency levels hasn’t really improved that much for the past 12 months. The Second Life user daily concurrency is now averaging between 27, 000 (min) – 51, 000 (max),

So far in 2024 the highest concurrency for Second Life was 53, 016 on 19th February 2024 and since then it’s not reached 54, 000 or 55, 000. It is unlikely that we will see the user daily concurrency for Second Life surpassing 55, 000 – 60, 000+ within the next 3+ months.

  • Maximum Daily Concurrency: 45, 000 – 51, 000 (average)
  • Median Daily Concurrency: 34, 000 – 40, 000 (average)
  • Minimum Daily Concurrency: 27, 000 – 30, 000 (average)

Highest Concurrency Peaks 2024

The maximum concurrency daily user concurrency highest peaks have been slightly lower than they were at the start of 2023. Hopefully as 2024 goes on the overall online usage will go back up.

  • March 2024: 52, 709 – 25th March 2024

In early 2023 the maximum daily user concurrency for Second Life was reaching the 53, 000 mark more often until April 2023 where it down slightly until November 2023 when it started to bounce back up again. June 2023 to September 2023 online usage dropped due to the summer months.

Highest Concurrency Peaks Since 2020

  • 60, 068 was the highest peak for Maximum Daily Concurrency – 13th April 2020
  • 57, 746 was the highest peak for Maximum Daily Concurrency – 25th March 2021
  • 55, 737 was the highest peak for Maximum Daily Concurrency – 5th February 2022
  • 53, 567 was the highest peak for Maximum Daily Concurrency – 30th January 2023
  • 53, 016 – 19th February 2024 (so far)

Historical Second Life Concurrency Peaks 2008 to 2010

The Second Life user daily concurrency levels were much higher between 2008 to 2010 etc but bots on the grid did in fact cause the numbers to go up. From January 2009 to March 2009 was when Second Life had the most highest concurrency levels reaching highs between 80, 000 to 88, 000.

  • 81, 913 – 28th February 2009 at 2:50pm SLT
