In previous years there has been at least two new Linden Home themes that normally gets announced then it gets released soon after. The Bellisseria continent now has over ten Linden Home themes to choose from along with some older Linden Home theme styles.
We are now almost six months into 2024 and so far no announcements have been made from the lab for any new Linden Home themes (1024 & 2048). Development has slowed down overall this year I think including the SSP zone which is closed off to the public.
The Ranch sub continent has been steadily been expanding around the coastal areas and the Mediterranean sub continent has gained more regions this year. There have been no hints from the moles or the lab for news of upcoming Linden Home themes.
I think all the focus now is on Second Life 21st birthday which starts next month so that’s probably why new developments have slowed down. Maybe the lab will announce the next Linden Home theme or whats coming up next during the birthday celebrations. We will have to wait and see.
If we don’t hear anything new at SL21B then it’s unlikely there will be any new Linden Home themes until late 2024 or sometime in 2025. This could mean the existing mainland and Linden Home themes may get some attention now.

- Fantasy – Announced at SL18B – Reveal on 17th June 2021 – Released 12th August 2021
- Chalet Homes – Announced at SL Christmas Expo (December 2020) – Reveal on 4th December – Released 30th March 2021
- Stilt Homes – Announced at SL17B (June 2020) – Reveal on 24th June – Start of release (test regions+) – 21st December
- Log Homes – Announced at the SL Home & Garden Expo (February 2020) – Released on 1st April 2020
- Victorian Homes – Announced early December 2019 – Released on 16th December 2019
- Trailers/Campers – Announced at SL16B (June 2019) – Released on 16th September 2019

Sorry, but I honestly think LL needs to put the whole new themes on hold. Way too many are currently on the grid with not much activity in them. I guess you could say the same about the old Linden Homes as well. Repurpose the old themes and the space first.

The newer sub continents are still not finished and the lab could finish these sub continents before moving on.
The old LH continents need to be axed and the most used regions should be merged with the second generation Linden homes.
