During the weekend a whole lot of new red SSP regions were added in the SSP development area. The red SSP regions relates to the Modern Linden Home theme (Newbrooke) due to be released very soon. This is the size it gets normally when a release is about to happen. Keep a watch out on the Second Life Forums under the Linden Homes section.
Over the past few months more and more red SSP regions have joined up together. These regions are closed to the public and are used for Linden Home developments.
See the expansion progress below….

Earlier this month I blogged about the newest 12 SSPE regions that have been added in the north east corner of the Fantasy sub continent. Today the Moles are still working on these regions adding more Fantasy Linden Homes, new roadways, new rez zones and new interesting areas to explore. These regions should be finished by the end of February 2022.
I have noticed this week that there are more red squares in multiple regions across the Fantasy sub continent meaning things could be delayed for some time until the issues have been addressed. This is the same with the Chalet sub continent in the far north east where there are loads of red squares.
Now – Fantasy sub continent map as of Friday 28th January 2022
Before – Fantasy sub continent map as of Tuesday 11th January 2022
Start of 2022 on 5th January 2022 where the new SSPE regions arrived to complete the continent
Good progress is being made overall and I think at some point in February most if not all of the Fantasy sub continent hopefully will be finished. I will blog about further developments later next month.
SSP Development Area – January 2022 Update
As of Friday 28th January 2022 there are now 17 red SSP regions compared with six red SSP regions on 15th December 2021. The red theme is highly likely the Modern Linden theme which was announced in early December 2021 at the SL Christmas Expo.
Now – 28th January 2022
Before – 15th December 2021
More updates will be posted on my blog in February 2022.
This week six new SSPE regions (SSPE2766 to SSPE2771) have been added to the east side of the Fantasy sub continent in Second Life. These new regions are not yet visible on the world map however they are open for anyone to wonder into them.
The Moles have already added house parcel markers, terraformed them and placed down pathways etc. It’s really exciting to watch the Moles develop the coastal areas. During the past 11 months of 2021 the growth of the Bellisseria continent has been incredible.
It’s estimated now that twelve more SSPE regions are needed to complete the costal ring around the Fantasy sub continent. The Moles are working fast on landscaping newer regions and adding new Linden homes onto them.
This week the Moles/Lindens have added some more new SSP black themed regions which are now joined together in the SSP development area. SSPNCR appears to be separated (linked with the black theme) away in the north west corner and the SSPSCR region has appeared in the north east corner which I think is the start of a new theme. I’ll be keeping a closer eye on these regions in the weeks ahead.
SSP Development Area Formation Layout
Purple = Chalet regions development
Green = Fantasy regions development
Black = Theme to be announced in the near future
SSPSCR = Possible upcoming themeĀ
These regions are closed off to the public as they are only used by the Moles/Lindens to build upcoming Linden Home themes. In recent months there has not been any major change in formation of these SSP regions until now.
The purple regions below are the Chalet theme regions. I believe the green regions is to do with the Fantasy theme and the black regions theme is still yet to be announced. SSPSCR could be the first region for the next LH theme after the black theme has been announced. We will have to wait and see.
SSP Development Area – 28th July 2021
10 new SSP regions have been added recently from SSP3021 to SSP3030 since the start of July 2021. SSP3031 to SSP3035 plus SSP3000 have been on the grid since mid June 2021.
New Stilt Linden Homes Coming Soon – 1st June 2021
The Moles will be adding a whole lot of new Stilt and Chalet Linden Homes in the days and weeks near the SSPE1790 Bridge. The road goes through the south part of the Chalet continent merging with the new homes already built. At some point later this year the Moles will add more bridges connecting the north and south parts of the Chalet regions.
Work is still in progress with more new areas coming soon. This is still a massive Linden Lab/Moles project and its going to take time to finish all the recent Linden Home themes.
New Chalet Linden Homes Coming Soon – 1st June 2021
The Moles continue to add more Stilts around SSPE1783. There are more Stilts being added nearby which will be finished soon. It’s worth pointing out there is alot of development happening now even on the log homes continent.
Recently new built Stilts – 1st June 2021
The Chalet continent remains unchanged in terms of work developments as of 1st June 2021. It won’t be long until the Moles start adding new bridges and new homes. The outer edges of the Chalet regions are not complete yet.
Chalet continent – 1st June 2021
The next Linden Home theme reveal should hopefully be known before early-mid July 2021 and it will be most interesting to see where new upcoming LH themes will be placed.
The SL18B regions have come online and at least one of them will have the next LH theme I believe.
Check out the new SPE1110 Train Station which is located at the end of the line. The area looks incredible with roads going over the railway line, places to sit down, a little pond and more. During the past five months the Moles have been working on the east side of the log homes continent which is due to be finished very soon. More log homes, Stilt and Chalet Linden homes have been added in recent weeks. There is more coming in the days and weeks ahead.
View looking down at the new developed area.
Back in mid January 2021 work started on the new SPE1110 Train Station by the Moles and today the area looks very nice. I think the Moles have done a great job at creating this railway line stretching over multiple Linden home theme areas.
On Tuesday 30th March Patch Linden announced the chalet regions release via the Second Life Forums under the Linden Homes section. This release is ahead of when the lab initially anticipated it would take place. This is good timing just before the Easter holidays start. The chalet homes come in four basic models named Matterhorn, Alpenrose, Edelweiss and Reizend.
The Chalet theme homes are modeled after stylized European alpine wood-timbered houses (fachwerhaus). The chalet homes are set on 1024 sq m parcels featuring hills, mountain streams, windmills and more.
The Chalet Linden homes new community center “Die Betrunkene Maus is located in Muehlenbach. This is a great place to hang out with friends and see the seasonal changes. Roughly there is 100 Chalet regions between the Bellisseria continent and the Satori continent.

Here are the continents below in Second Life as of 31st March 2021. The chalet home regions are not showing on the map however I have highlighted in red where they are located.
Once the World Map is fixed it will be great to see the visuals of all of the chalet regions and latest SSP regions when zooming in/out. I really hope the lab gets this sorted during April/May 2021 as its been broken since late October 2020.
The next Linden Home theme will be announced after SL18B so most likely in July 2021.
It’s been a while since I blogged about the latest developments happening over at the SSP regions and I wanted to share the latest updates as of 26th March 2021. The Moles are continuing to add more Stilt homes over at the Bellisseria continent just north east of the log homes area. There has been no ETA on the latest batch of regions for release yet.
It looks like the SSP regions have expanded again recently by ten regions just above the SSP2531 to SSP2500 line. At the moment these SSP regions are not showing up in terms of map tiles/visuals. It’s worth pointing out that this area of the grid is used for the Moles/Lindens to work on upcoming Linden Home themes.
SSP2521 to SSP2530 are the newer regions
SSP2531 to SSP2500 has been on the grid for some timenow
SSPW6 has appeared on the grid north west of the regions above. It’s not clear what W6 means yet. I guess we will have to wait until after the Chalets have been released after SL18B (mid June-early July).
The LH Dev region and LH Dev 2 region there seems to be various developments happening. The LH Dev 2 region is worth keeping your eyes on as it looks like a shopping area of some sort.
There doesn’t seem to be much happening with the nearby LH Dev Final regions below. It looks like these regions are used for testing/creating new homes.
Earlier this week I posted the latest railway track progress going eastwards on the log homes continent and this blog post looks at whats going on down south to the buffer stop. It’s worth exploring if you love new areas.
It’s worth mentioning this new track going down south is not open for use yet. This is just a preview for now until the Moles fully complete the area very soon. I am very excited about the new developments going on this month.
LH signal bridge in SSPE1460
The start of the new railway track going down southwards starts in SSPE1459 with the LH Signal Bridge with some red cube placeholders nearby. The railway track then follows main road down south passing many signal points along the way. The railway track then goes into a forest where there is a new train station and finally the line ends with a buffer stop post.
As you go down south there are newly built log homes along the side of the new road with the railway track next to it which looks very nice.
Many signal points ahead in SSPE1459 leading into the trees areaMore SLRR placeholders in SSPE1458New train & road crossing barrier in SSPE1458A new buffer stop and train station in SSPE1457
I can’t wait for the south and east railway line to open to the public in the months ahead. It’s going to be super fun for sure.
The Moles are still working on the log homes continent and there has been some new developments. In the past few weeks work has started to pick up again across the log homes continent especially on the south coast with new log homes, new waterfalls, new rez zones and much more.
I have highlighted the red area above where the new homes have been built in the past week or so. The blue areas is where the next batch of new homes will be in the weeks ahead.
Check out the new lighthouse in SSPE1149 which looks really nice. I love the waterfall area and how the moles are transforming the nearby regions. Great job! š
The new lighthouse arrives
PossibleWater ExpansionComing Soon
There are new blueĀ waterway spacer guide objects along the side of the east coast of the log homes continent. I wonder if this is for a future water expansion or perhaps something else ?.
New blueĀ waterway spacer guide objects appear New blue objects appear on the east coast
The SSP83X region looks a little different this month with a new water area located in the north east corner. Could this be the new StiltĀ home layout ?
Some interesting new developments so far this month and as you can see work has certainly picked up again across the Bellisseria continent. The Moles will be adding more train tracks and new train stations in the weeks ahead.
