At the end of May 2023 the SpeedLight team announced v29 via the Discord channel packed with new improvements, new features and fixes.
This new update comes with high-resolution 3D, typing notifications, refined touch interface, faster 3D loading, inworld object payments and much more.
There have been fixes made to the user interface, reworked the tablet layout, some RLV improvements and along with more additional fixes.

**SpeedLight v29 🪐 – May Update**
Hey @everyone!
We’re excited to announce the deployment of the latest SpeedLight update, packed with new features, improvements, and fixes!
TL;DR – All users: High-resolution 3D, refined touch interface, faster 3D loading. Gold and patrons: In-world object payments, typing notifications and related settings. Minor layout fixes._
🐱 **All users:**
Experience faster 3D world loading and a sleeker touch interface. We’ve eliminated long-taps for smoother menu navigation. 🎇 **Additionally, get ready for an all-high-resolution world!** Say goodbye to unsightly bony blocks. Check out the screenshot to see the stunning difference.
🦁 **Gold users and patrons:**
You can now make payments towards in-world objects! Simply tap on the object, and if it supports payments, a “Pay…” menu will appear. It works just like in the regular viewer.
We’ve also introduced typing notifications. You’ll be able to see when other residents are typing, and they’ll see when you’re typing too. You can customize this feature in your Settings and choose to disable sending typing notifications.
🌎 **Everyone:**
In addition to these exciting updates, we’ve made numerous fixes and enhancements to the app interface. Dialogues for IMs load faster, we’ve reworked the tablet layout, fixed some glitches, and made some RLV improvements. We always prioritize enhancing the RLV experience! We ❤️⛓️ RLV!
