The Relay Rockers, RFL of SL’s oldest team, kicks off its 17th season by announcing the schedule for its signature fundraising events in support of the American Cancer Society.
The team will once again host the Celebrate, Remember, Fight Back (CRFB) Top DJ Competition, Bid Me Bald Team Challenge, Bid The Lindens Bald and the popular multi-team RelayStock. The Rockers are also planning their Blues for Life, Hard Cure for the Cure and Country fair events.
The CRFB DJ Competition begins March 27 with preliminary rounds through April 24th. The competition is open to Club DJ and Radio Presenters who are challenged to raise funds for the Relay For Life during one hour sets. The Top 4 competitors move on to the May 1st & 2nd semifinals rounds with the 2 remaining DJs performing in the Finals at RelayStock May 14, 15 & 16. The event, which has been held since 2012, has raised nearly L$10 million in support of the ACS. Entry forms will be available at the team website: https://relayrockers.org/ beginning on Feb 20th and is limited to the first 20 DJs to sign up.
The Bid Me Bald Team Challenge will be held April 9th through the 17th and is open to all Registered RFL of SL Teams. Teams fund raise to “Keep Their Hair” with the last place team pledging to go bald until RFL 2021 Weekend, June 13 & 14. Teams share kiosks with the Relay Rockers during the event.
Bid The Linden Bald will be held during the Rockers annual multi-team RelayStock weekend, May 14 -16. Teams of Lindens and Moles compete to outraise each other and again the last place group pledges to ‘shave’ their heads until Relay weekend 2021.

The Second Life Home & Garden Expo 2021 is just around the corner it’s been confirmed. The 2021 event will take place from 27th February through until the 21st of March 2021. The 13th Home and Garden Expo (HGE) is in support of Relay for Life of Second Life and the American Cancer Society.
There will be a great opportunity to look at the latest house furnishing trends, attend auctions, hunts and enjoy the great entertainment throughout the event duration. It’s not yet known if there will be any new previews or announcements during the expo event of the next Linden home theme after the Chalet Linden Home theme.
The event offers something for anyone who is looking for a new home, decor or wishing to improve their building skills. This year there will be a new “special addition of Waffleville a Tinies, Dinkies and Chibit mall space” which sounds very exciting indeed.

Everyone is busy getting the place ready and spruced up for your visit to the Second Life Home & Garden Expo! Flowers are being planted, shrubs being trimmed, homes are painted, furniture is being moved in and acts are getting ready to wow you.

Catch an amazing act at the main stage, attend a talk by our exhibitors at the auditorium or check out the RFL booths to learn more about this year’s teams. Walk the sims to visit SL’s top designers, not forgetting to pop into the malls anchoring our corners and this year’s special addition of Waffleville a Tinies, Dinkies and Chibit mall space.

The eighth annual One Billion Rising annual event in Second Life will be officially happening on Sunday 14th February 2021. The event will feature a four-region stage where over 200 people can come together to dance, surrounded by art installations and more. There will be DJs and live performers playing over the 24 hour period. The 2021 theme is Rising Gardens following the international One Billion Rising.
For the eighth year, on February 14, 2021, men and women in Second Life will join activists, writers, thinkers, celebrities, and people across the world to Rise, Resist and Unite as a show of unity, individual strength, and the need for change.
1 in 3 women across the planet will either be raped or beaten in their lifetime. This event raises awareness of the issues. Every February in Second Life the community rises, dances and shows incredible strength. Everyone is welcome to participate.

The Linden & Resident Snowball Fight event for 2020 will be officially happening on Friday 18th December in two parts in Second Life. The event will be held at the Winter Wonderland regions and it’s going to be amazing. This is a great opportunity to throw plenty of snowballs at Lindens and Residents.
1st Session – 10am to 11am SLT/PST
2nd Session – 2pm to 3pm SLT/PST

Get in the winter spirit for the most epic snowball fight in Second Life. Come with a group of friends and meet new people – either way, you’re sure to have a blast as you toss snowballs at other Residents and even Lindens! Event held December 18th at 10am to 11am PST and another one at 2pm to 3pm PST.
The 10th annual Second Life Christmas Expo opened to the public on Friday 4th December and will remain open until Sunday 13th December 2020. Linden Lab revealed the next edition of Linden Homes featuring Chalets. Visit the preview region here.
