BURN2 2021 opened the gates to the public on Friday 8th October 2021 and will stay open until Sunday 17th October 2021 in Second Life. This year the event takes place over 12 regions which is double the usual size. There are many live events happening for the week ahead on the main stage, center camp and the bob stage. Check out the BURN2 Calendar for all upcoming events.

The Man and The Temple will burn at 12pm SLT on Saturday 16th October and Sunday 17th October 2021. It’s best to arrive early to get the best view possible before the regions become full.

There are many amazing builds dotted around the Burning Man regions this year to discover. Explore the great unknown today. Hundred’s of visitors will likely come through the gates during the next week.

To get started visit the Burning Man Deep Hole region. There will be volunteers on stand by ready to help if you require assistance. There is BURN2 information, freebies, vehicles and more at the welcome area.

BURN2: THE Great Unknown

BURN2: The Great Unknown 2021

BURN2: The Great Unknown event in Second Life will start at 6pm SLT/PDT on Friday 8th October 2021 through until Sunday 17th October 2021. The event will be spread over 12 regions this year where there will be loads to do and see on the virtual playa. The Man and the Temple will once again burn during this event.

BURN2 has three official stages this year: Center Camp, Main Stage and BOB Stage. These stages are where many DJs, live singers and performers where will be based. The plot sales for this year ended on Sunday 3rd October 2021.

I strongly recommend visiting BURN2 for the live entertainment, playing with the fire, art installations, freebies and much more.

BURN2 Virtual BURN Week – 29th August to 5th September 2021

The BURN2 Virtual BURN week in Second Life starts today at 6pm SLT on Sunday 29th August through until midnight on Sunday 5th September 2021. The event will be held at the Burning Man – Deep Hole region and everyone is welcome to attend. There will be many workshops, stories being told, fire dancing, live DJs, live performers and more.

The Temple and The Man will be burning once again towards the end of next week (4th – 5th September). The Man creation is based on the original Man by Zoren Manray and the Temple Caelum of Stars is a original design by Daark Gothly.

The virtual Burning Man event has been running every year in Second Life since 2003. The event is one of the oldest running events on the grid. In 2010 Linden Lab downsized and the ownership of Burning Man was transferred/renamed to BURN2 where the community carried on the annual events.

I have blogged about my experiences over the years attending BURN2 and sharing snapshots with the community. I have volunteered at the welcome gates during various years which I really enjoyed doing. The burns of the man and the temple are probably the best highlight for me. The annual events are really good fun on the playa as it brings everyone together to make new memories.

For those that love the annual virtual BURN2 events in Second Life here are the upcoming BURN2 events happening during 2021. Mark these events on your calendars and join in with the fun. Planning is underway for all these events that will be happening at the BURN2 regions on the grid.

The Octoburn is the big event of the year and the size of the Octoburn playa will be double this year from six regions to a total of 12 regions. The Man and The Temple will hopefully burn again this year. Woooot! 🙂
