Bellisseria Third Anniversary Celebrations

Tomorrow on Friday 15th April 2022 marks Bellisseria third anniversary celebrations since the second generation of Linden Homes first opened to the public in Second Life. There will be big anniversary celebrations this year at the Bellisseria Fairgrounds from Friday 15th April through until Sunday 17th April including live DJ music, a Mole vs Boat race, a Easter egg quest, a particle show, tons of fireworks and much more.

When you look back at the last three years of the Bellisseria continent it’s pretty amazing how massive it’s become stretching over 100’s of regions with nice hangout areas, different Linden Theme sub continents, open water regions, train lines including train stations, rez points, airstrips, underground tunnels and much more. The Moles have done a great job on the expansion of Bellisseria and the good news there is more to come in the next few years. I have been keeping track of progress along with many others since August 2018 when the first SSP regions arrived on the grid.

At 10am SLT until 10.15am SLT on Friday 15th April Patch Linden will be giving an opening speech to celebrate the special occasion. Don’t miss this.

3:00 – 5:00 pm : DJ Gabi will bring the celebrations to their height and close it out with FIREWORKS!

Ready For The Valentine’s Love Boat Cruise and Party ?

On 7th February 2022 Patch Linden announced event details for the upcoming Valentine’s Love Boat Cruise and Party via the Second Life Forums under the Linden Homes section.

The 2022 romantic valentine’s cruise will start at Campwich Forest starting at 10am SLT on Saturday 12th February 2022. The route goes up north through the nice river areas and then it finishes at the Bellisseria Fairgrounds where there will be a party lasting for roughly four hours until 2pm SLT.

11.30am SLT+ – special live performer followed by live DJs until 2pm SLT

The cruise should last approximately 50 minutes and there are kiosks placed inworld to collect the map of the route along with music streams. It’s actually a good route to follow on both legs to be honest.

No political signs or themes.
Please keep all decorations in a Valentine’s theme.
No cruise ships or extra-large ships that would block the waterways for other residents taking part.

The Great Trick or Treat Event, Bellisseria!

First Preview

Today on Monday 11th October 2021 Patch Linden posted details on the Second Life Forums (land section) about the upcoming Great Trick or Treat event happening on 18th October 2021 across the Bellisseria continent in Second Life. The event runs through until 1st November 2021.

This is a great opportunity to collect candy and a chance to win prizes. For those that collect at least one candy will receive a Halloween Skelly Bear. Only residents who own parcels in Bellisseria can host a candy bucket. All residents can get the game HUD below.

🎃 It’s The Great Trick or Treat Event, Bellisseria! 🍬

Prepare to celebrate Halloween Belli style! Collect candy across Bellisseria this Halloween season with a chance to win prizes! This is an interactive event where residents living in Bellisseria can host Candy Buckets on their parcels and anyone (even residents not living in Bellisseira) can go all around Bellisseria Trick or Treating to collect candy.

Only residents who own parcels in Bellisseria can host a candy bucket, but all residents can get a game HUD and go Trick or Treating.

Everyone who participates in Trick or Treating and collects at least one candy will receive a Halloween Skelly Bear (skeleton bear is decor only).

The Winners Prize Breakdown

The top candy collectors will get limited edition bears!

The top 100 winners will receive the Evil Bear (devil). No sounds or effects. (Decor version and Animesh version).

The Top 35 winners will also receive the Magic Bear (wizard). Wearable animesh that waves a wand with particle effects, sounds and has a hat. (Decor version and Animesh version).

And finally, the top 10 winners will ALSO get the Deaddy Bear (zombie) Animesh Pet/Follower with custom animations, sounds and effects. (Decor version and Animesh version).

The event starts on Monday, 18th of October, but Bellisserian’s can place out their candy bucket on their parcels beforehand. You can find the vendors for getting your own Bellisseria Trick or Treat Candy Bucket and Bellisseria Trick or Treat HUD at the following locations:

Bellisseria Turns 2

Today 15th April 2021 mark’s Bellisseria second anniversary in Second Life. The second generation of Linden Homes started with Traditional and Houseboats. The Moles/Lindens released more Linden Home themes since then featuring Trailers/Campers, Victorian, Log Cabins, Stilts and now Chalets. There are more new themes reveals after SL18B has finished in early July 2021.

Bellisseria Fairgrounds – 15th April 2021

There will be a special celebration marking Bellisseria second anniversary. There will be partying planned for everyone at the Bellisseria Fairgrounds starting at 10am SLT today through until 4pm SLT. DJs will be playing tunes, there will be a particle show and a fireworks display. More details here.

The Bellisseria community has been growing more and more over the past few years. The Bellisseria inworld groups have been active every week with interesting discussions about a variety of things. The events have been awesome that have been hosted on Bellisseria. Great job! 🙂

When Bellisseria first opened to the public there was only 384 regions to explore back in April 2019 and there was huge excitement about it. Two years later the Bellisseria continent is supermassive that spans over 800+ regions connecting three existing continents on the grid. Wooot! 🙂

Bellisseria Continent opening day – 15th April 2019

The first 80 SSP regions arrived on the grid back in late August 2008. The SSP thread on the Second Life Forums started soon after which today goes on for 215 pages. The growth of the Bellisseria continent has been fun seeing it progress over the past two years.

August 20, 2018 – First SSP regions arrive

The Moles/Lindens have done a great job from building amazing new areas, appearing on interviews/events and most importantly improving the overall Premium experience. Everyone that has worked on this new continent for the past few years should be very proud of themselves of this huge achievement.

It’s still unclear what Linden Lab will do with the old Linden Homes from 2010. I think it would be good to see the regions moved closer to Bellisseria with water regions connecting them. Maybe the inactive areas/homes could be closed down to free up more space.

April 2020

This time last year roughly the new log home continent opened with over 230 regions and over 4, 000 log homes. Today work on the east coast is still happening but it won’t be long until its all finished. The log home continent came with the expansion of the railway line, new water areas, new community area named Randelsham Forest and much more.

April 2021

The Stilts and the Chalet Linden Homes have been added during the past 12 months. Due to the inworld map tiles not working (uplift) the chalet regions are not showing on the map below. It’s going to be great once this issue has been fixed to see the Chalet regions in full. Then it will be fun exploring around the new areas.

I can’t wait for the new Linden Homes to be announced and released hopefully later this year and next year.

Bellisseria 1 Year Anniversary Celebration

On Wednesday 8th April Patch Linden posted new details about the upcoming Bellisseria 1 year anniversary celebrations in Second Life. The first anniversary celebrations will take place between Friday 17th to Sunday 19th at the Bellisseria Fairgrounds. Everyone is welcome to attend and have fun.

April 15, 2019 saw the launch of the new Linden Lab premium homes and Bellisseria was born. Soon those that nestled into the comforts of a brand new home found more than just a nice place to live, they found community, discovered new friendships, parties, adventures and so much more.

There will be live DJs, a particle show and a boat parade along with much more. The anniversary is sponsored by Linden Lab, Bellisseria Citizens Group, Bellissseria Entertainers & Events and the Bellis Blues Cafe.

Watch Bellisseria’s 1 Year Anniversary celebration video premiere on 16th April at 9am SLT. Patch Linden said recently it’s taken “more than 1,000 film clips, countless previews and edits, 100 plus volunteers and 60 hours of diligent work, its finally ready”.

1 year later since the SSP regions first appeared on the grid

80 SSP regions arrived on 20th August 2018

It’s been one year since the first batch of 80 SSP regions arrived on the grid. Back then all we was told it was a Super Secret Project. Many speculated it could be the start of a new continent or perhaps Linden Realms or Horizons etc.

The day after I first blogged about the new batch of regions a new forums thread named SSP? was started. A year later and the thread is still active with 110+ pages. It’s a good place to get first previews of new developments happening. Soon after that the lab did set up a new Linden Homes sub forum.

The Second Life Grid Survey picked up the new SSP regions on 19th August 2018. I discovered the regions on the map the day after on 20th August 2018 with many others. I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Woooot!!

The excitement happened about a few weeks later when more regions were added. This then became the working grounds for the LDPW Moles to start preparations for the new Bellisseria continent. Yay!

In September 2018 the SSP continent grew from 80 regions to 384 regions. New roads, lakes, housing blocks and houseboat slips were put in from October 2018 onwards.

Terraforming changes – 2nd September 2018

Between October 2018 and January 2019 hundred’s of small dots started to appear across the SSP continent. The new Linden homes foundations were put in. The houseboat slips were built around the outside during this time period.

The SSP continent started to take shape during February 2019 with even more developments going on. Two new small islands appear on the east coast of the continent along with a new message.

At the end of March 2019 the top half of the SSP continent was copied over and placed between the Sansara continent and the Jeogeot continent. Tons of water regions connected the north and south of the new continent making one huge super continent.

More Linden Homes and Houseboats

Between June 2019 – August 2019 the Moles have been working hard on building the central parts of the continent. There are now more Linden homes, houseboats, a new airstrip/fairgrounds area and new underwater areas. More work is planned in the weeks and months ahead.

The Moles are now working on the new Pickle island which is due to be completed next month. The new trailers is being worked on and should be released very soon. The top half of the Bellisseria continent is now online and hopefully the bottom half of the continent will come online before the end of 2019.

Welcome to the new Bellisseria Fairgrounds

JulyFest 2019 will be happening at the new beautiful new Bellisseria Fairgrounds on Saturday 6th July 2019 from 12pm to 6pm SLT. This will be the first big community event that will include live music, DJ’s and booths for the community. This is a great opportunity to hang out with the Bellisseria community and join Bellisseria interest groups.

This will be a fun-filled day of community celebrations brought to you by the Bellisseria Citizens group. A full calendar of events can be found here.

The Bellisseria Fairgrounds can be reached by aircraft, boat or a direct teleport in. It’s a lovely area with Linden homes all around. Don’t forget to take a snapshot of the massive Magellan statue.
