The new Linden Home theme is Modern which was officially revealed to the public this afternoon on the Linden Reveal region at the 2021 SL Christmas Expo. The official theme name is “Newbrooke” and it’s many are saying it’s Meadowbrook 2.0.
- The Linden Homes Preview link on the Second Life Destination Guide has just gone live today
- There may be more than 30 homes per region when released
Don’t forget that the Linden Reveal region is just a demo of what’s to come and this is not a full representation of the finished production regions. There are some larger and some smaller Modern homes located on the preview region with a few swimming pools, seating areas, rez zones and more.
Modern Home Types
- Aldridge – 1024 – 2 storey
- Bradbury – 1024 – 1 storey
- Coniston – 1024 – 1 storey
- Denver – 512 – 1 storey
- Ender – 512 – 2 storey
- Faraday – 512 – 1 storey
- Gatewood – 512 – 2 storey
- Heaton – 1024 – 2 storey
The feedback has been very mixed inworld and on the Second Life forums Linden Homes section. I think this may be a good upgrade for those that have a Linden Home on the old Linden Home continents and the Moles have said this is a work in progress until the big release happens soon.
Coming Soon!
- There will be colour options coming soon
- Exteriors will have colour, trim types, interior walls and other customization options
- There are going to be 512 and 1024 with each having a complement of styles

I personally like the style of these homes, but they do seem to be squeezed on the parcels in this preview. I would of hoped for more green space and landscaping around them. This is looking like a cookie cutter suburb. But hey, some may like this type of living in SL.

I’m 50/50 on this latest release as it feels something is missing like the wow factor like in some previous LH themes. However it will be interesting to see how the Modern homes will fit into the Bellisseria continent very soon.
I think many from the old Linden Home continents may find this Modern theme much better to move into.

Modern home on a 512!! Yay! I am happy to try something besides a trailer. I gave up my 1024 in favor of using have my land for a store. This is exciting!
