There are mobile apps on iOS and Android that can be downloaded to access Second Life during 2021. As many know already Linden Lab are working to launch a Second Life mobile client on iOS very soon followed by a Android release later on.

Caution! Lumiya version 3.2 can still be downloaded via SlideMe but it’s $2.95. This app was last updated on 27th November 2016. Lumiya is a Second Life and OpenSim client offering a 3D world view, the ablitiy to send/receive messages, teleporting, local chat, manage inventory and more. Lumiya supports server-side appearance, mesh content and it’s compatible with RLV.
Please spread the word and in about a year or two I will post up another mobile apps update blog post.
I still don’t understand how the most capable mobile viewer is one that hasn’t been updated in 5 years (as of 2021). Am I supposed to believe that with all the money corporations have to invest in building a mobile SL viewer, that they can’t beat 5-year old technology from a single developer? I don’t get it.
I don’t know why SLGo hasn’t been replicated either. That technology is much older than 5 years now.

Are they ever going to finish this supposed mobile client app? I’d like to have the real deal, speedlight is limited and it’s hard to control my avatar.

The lab have included mobile on the 2022 roadmap for Second Life.
Possible beta later this year I would guess.

Lumiya is what you’re referring to right? It won’t be updated. The creator has quit for a long time on her app. So don’t wait for any updates.
