Today Linden Lab posted about the new 2015 Second Life Fa-BOO-lous Snapshot Contest on the official Second Life blog that starts today. If you participate, submit your Halloween themed snapshot entries then you could win 1 of 4 amazing prizes – L$10,000, L$5,000, L$3,000, or L$1,000. The contest ends on 12th November 2015. Enter the contest here

There are many Haunted locations to visit in Second Life to take amazing snapshots for this snapshot contest. “Experience haunted attractions where ghosts, goblins and other scary surprises lurk around every dark corner”.

In Second Life, every day is an opportunity to dress up, but come Halloween time, Residents step it up and take it to a whole new level of fun and creativity. If this is your first Halloween in Second Life – or even if it’s your 12th – you are in for something incredible!

All over the grid, regions decorate, put together trick-or-treat style hunts, blast some chilling tunes for your move your avatar bones to, and generally run amok in the undeniable excitement of Halloween. We couldn’t be left out of the spooky shenanigans, so there’s a few official events you won’t want to miss out on.

Along with this year’s upcoming Creepy Crawl, there’s a chance you could win one of four amazing prizes for your Halloween-themed snapshots! That’s right, take pics – enter the contest, and potentially win Linden dollars!

2015 Second Life Creepy Crawl 2015 – Call for Venues

On 6th October 2015 Linden Lab posted details about the Second Life Creepy Crawl 2015 which is worth looking at. See below for details…

This year we’re going to take inworld meetups and Halloween shenanigans and mix them together for a frightful mashup of mind-blowingly fun times. But – we need your help to make it happen.

Are you interested in hosting a stop along our Second Life Creepy Crawl? We’re looking for spots that will have music, are appropriate for general and moderate audiences, and don’t mind having a few Lindens and Residents dropping in all at once to dance and hang out for a bit.

The Creepy Crawl will be taking place on October 30th – more details to follow for those who just want to come along for the fun! But for those interested is potentially being a stop along the crawl – here’s what you should do.

How it works

• Make sure your place is listed in the Destination Guide – here’s how to submit.
• Hop over to this form and fill it out before October 20th – we’ll start selecting the venues after that!
• Keep an eye out for an email and/or notecard after the 20th to let you know if your venue was selected.

My 9th rezday in Second Life is 31st October 2015. 🙂

Sign up for Strides Walk 2015 in Second Life

This year Strides Walk will be happening on Sunday 25th October 2015 starting at 12pm SLT until 8pm SLT. Everyone is welcome to attend to help make Strides Against Breast Cancer in Second Life. If you are interested in doing one lap or more then you can register here.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer or MSABC is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting more than 300 communities to finish the fight. Every breast cancer walk and event is an incredible and inspiring opportunity to honor those who have battled breast cancer, raise awareness about what we can do to reduce our breast cancer risk, and race money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with research, information, services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.
