To mark the end of the live performances at SL12B Community Celebration Bewell Ormega put on a huge fireworks show between 11:30pm SLT (28th) to 12am SLT (29th) at the SL12B Stunning Cake Stage. It was really amazing to attend the final event of SL12B and I have to say I have loved this year’s birthday celebrations from start to end.
Thanks to all the organisers for the best party yet. 🙂
The Linden talks I thought worked really well along with the SL12B music festival. I enjoyed exploring with the SL12B raptor avatar and sharing adventures on my SL Flickr stream. The theme What Dreams May Come I liked and the builds were much better this year. The stages and live music was fantastic. The SL12B BIG Hunt continues until 4th July 2015.
The SL12B regions will remain open for viewing until Saturday 4th July 2015. This is a great time to visit the exhibits and explore before the sims go offline for another year.
I hope that you have enjoyed by special SL12B blog coverage this week and all my SL12B snapshots can be found on my SL Flickr stream. I’m looking forward to SL13B and I’m sure it will be another awesome one.
Please share in comments your thoughts on SL12B! Thanks 🙂
After 11 years the well known YadNi s Junkyard in Second Life has closed down which is a massive loss and very sad to see this landmark disappear. YadNi s Junkyard started back on 6th April 2004 and it was the first freebies store in Second Life history to launch. YadNi s Junkyard was one of the top favourite places for new residents to get freebies, getting started in Second Life and it was a good places to make new friends.
YadNi Monde posted this message on Google+ on June 23rd 2015.
YadNi s Junkyard has closed today. After 11 years of helping Thousands new residents with REAL freebies, full perms, for free, and one of the most long lasting money trees, I had to close the place today. I hope you have good souvenirs of that place.
It’s going to be hard to imagine what the grid will be like now without YadNi s Junkyard but the memories will stay with us for sure. This is the end of an era and YadNi s Junkyard will be deeply missed by everyone.
Please share your memories of the YadNi s Junkyard in comments.
On Friday 26th June 2015 Ebbe Linden was interviewed by Jo Yardley and Saffia Widdershins at the SL12B Auditorium. This was the last of the Meet The Lindens talks at the birthday celebration and the session lasted for about a hour. There were more than 100 attendees at the talk and there were technical issues at the start.
Ebbe Linden talked about Second Life, Project Sansar, Third Party viewers and more. It’s worth listening to if you missed the talk yesterday as there are some interesting updates.
Here is the full replay of Ebbe Linden talk at SL12B
If you have missed any of the “Meet The Lindens” interviews at the SL12B this week then here is another chance to watch them again. I have been to a few talks this week and found them very interesting. There have been huge audiences for all of the talks so far and I think it’s been a success.
I hope that talks will be held with more Lindens during future birthdays of Second Life and it would be nice to see the keynotes speech back again at the start/end of the birthday.
Don’t forget that Ebbe Linden the CEO of Linden Lab will be LIVE today at 1pm SLT (9pm UK time) at the SL12B Auditorium. Arrive early to get access before the regions become too full.
