2nd annual OpenSimulator Community Conference starts this weekend


The 2014 OpenSimulator Conference opens on Saturday 8th November through to Sunday 9th November on the conference grid, see login info here. The OpenSimulator Community Conference is an annual conference that focuses on the developer and user community creating the OpenSimulator software.

The OpenSimulator Community Conference is an annual conference that focuses on the developer and user community creating the OpenSimulator software. Organized as a joint production by AvaCon and the Overte Foundation, the virtual conference features two days of presentations, workshops, keynote sessions, and social events across diverse sectors of the OpenSimulator user base.

The first OpenSimulator Community Conference for 2013 was a “terrific success apparently with more than 350 attendees from 45 unique grids visiting with over 1000+ commits to the core code. This year there will be hype about Oculus Rift and info about other virtual reality technologies. In recent weeks there have been load tests to ensure that any issues and bugs have been sorted out.
