Former Linden Lab executive Joe Miller (Joe Linden) passed away on 27th July 2014 after he lost the battle with cancer its been reported. Joe Miller was the VP of Platform and Technology Development from 2006 to 2010 at Linden Lab. Joe introduced 3D voice to Second Life back in 2007 and many remember his inworld visits as a friendly robot inworld.
The lab have posted a tribute blog post looking back at his life called Remembering Joe Miller.
Joe passed away peacefully on July 27, 2014 surrounded by his family and loved ones.
This is a huge loss for Second Life and he will never be forgotten. My thoughts and condolences go to Joe’s family and friends at this very sad time. 😦
