Guide to SL11B Pod Tours

One of the main attractions at SL11B community celebration is the exciting Pod Tours which guides you through all of the exhibits and gives you information about them. Yavanna Llanfair designed the two Pod Tours at SL11B and this year there are surprises along the way depending on the environment. The SL11B sims are truly awesome and I have to say that the pod tour is a good way to see everything.

There are 22 free pods with departures every 4 minutes at each station. The pod tour system is split into two separate areas which include the Western Sims and Eastern Sims. The Western sims pod tour lasts for around 38 minutes and the Eastern sims pod tour lasts for around 45 minutes so please keep that in mind. To ride a pod, click the cone at either one of the SL11B Pod Stations and enjoy the fantastic tour!🙂

Getting Started

Firstly behind the pod stations there is a SL11B info package to grab for free giving you all the information you need including landmarks, maps, hunts and performances.

This is always the best way to see every exhibit. You have enough time to note places you’d like to spend more time at, and it’s fun to spot familiar avies along the way!

I love tours, so of course I tried the SL11B ones. Tried 3 times. Crashed 3 times, 2 times at sim crossing, once the next sim simply wasn’t there. Decided to tour a bit by my own feet – just to be kicked out by the “region will restart in 2 minutes” warning. So I have to say that my experience (at different days during usual SL quiet times) was far from exciting…

I took the tour but did it in segments, getting on/off here and there. I enjoyed it. I liked that you can vary the speed. It was odd when a complete stranger just decided to hover over me for a while and then plop down next to me and continue the tour without saying a word!🙂
