Version: 0.9.69.0 (BETA)

CasperTech recently announced on the official Metabolt homepage that they will be taking over and maintaining the METAbolt text client for Second Life and OpenSim users. This is very good news to hear this and that the project is once again active for the long-term.

In the coming weeks there will be brand new website and a new release of METAbolt soon. New developments are now in the pipeline and it’s going to be interesting to see where it goes next I think.

Same Viewer. New Opportunities

It was recently announced that the METAbolt project was being discontinued. We are very happy to announce that this has not happened, and instead CasperTech have stepped in to curate and maintain the project.

CasperTech is a leading provider of solutions for content creators within Second Life. We believe that METAbolt will benefit from our strong legacy and foundations.

It is not our intention to commercialise the project, and we will maintain it in the same spirit of open source community collaboration. We do intend, however, to rejuvenate the METAbolt community with active development, support and new innovation. We are very excited by this opportunity, and we hope you are, too!

Please bear with us while we complete the transitional period – we’re working on a new website and will be making our first release of METAbolt soon.

Fashion For Life 2014 registration is now open

Fashion For Life 2014

Cajsa Lilliehook announced new details today that she will be organizing Fashion For Life 2014 in Second Life via Plurk which is great news. Registration for this year’s Fashion For Life event is now open and she hopes that everyone will sign up. Apparently the blogger applications will open on 1st May 2014. Early blogger preview access if selected will be held on the 5th and 6th of June 2014.

  • The main event dates: June 7th – June 20th, 2014.

Efforts and funds committed to FFL go to support American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.  We are entirely volunteer driven and 100% of the funds raised are presented as a charitable donation to ACS from the residents of Second Life.

I personally think Cajsa will do an excellent job at organizing the event this year and it will be a huge success. Good luck to the Fashion For Life team this year and I’ll look forward to attending the event for sure. If you are interested, please sign up and be part of the volunteer driven event in Second Life.
