Second Life Extensions on Google Chrome

On Google Chrome Web Store I did a search today for “Second Life” extensions and I was surprised that three results that showed up which you can add to your Chrome browser. Very interesting to find out there are “Second Life” extensions on Chrome and I’m not sure other browsers have any SL related add-ons.

A small userbase for these extensions and not alot of reviews either. I think there needs to be more extensions for Second Life and more in other internet browsers too.

  1. Hi Daniel,
    That is interesting.
One question though, what is “tricky” about the SL Dashboard?
I approach this with the attitude: if I can use it without thinking, anybody can. 🙂

    1. It was a great find for me and its good to know people made third party add-ons to chrome for SL related. Still the add-ons need alot of work and updates.

I’ve not yet added them to my chrome and I think there needs to be more ideas/add-ons during the next few years.

  2. It never occurred to me to look for an SL extention; I’m going to have to check to see what (if anything) is available for Firefox. Thanks for the nudge! 🙂

  3. I am not sure how I feel about the Chromelife extension, how does it gather your information without you logging in? Is it Google invading our privacy yet again?

  4. I am the designer and owner of slwishlist.com .
The extension I created is being triggered only when your chrome browser loads the marketplace’s product final page and the only thing it does it to grab from it only the url from the address bar in order to send it back to the slwishlist.com database.
Even extension can do a lot of things (bad or good), this one doesnt “read” anything related with your personal data, like username, linden balance, sl password etc etc.

  5. Wow, this is awesome 🙂 I had absolutely no idea these Chrome plugins existed!

Now I wonder if you’re covering WordPress plugins that connect WordPress blogs to Second Life 🙂 (hint: shameless plug!)
