New Email Preferences Support on SL Marketplace

CommerceTeam Linden has announced on the SL Forums on 5th February 2013 that on the SL Marketplace there is new email preferences support apparently. The main addition is that you can now turn emails on and off under email settings which is rather neat and handy I think. Check out the release notes for 5th February 2013 for details.

Marketplace now supports the ability to set email preferences. You will now be able to turn emails on or off. In addition, new emails have been added and work has been done on stability to prevent delays in email delivery. Please see the Release Notes or the Knowledge Base articles for Merchants or Shoppers for more information.

This is very useful and worth checking out. 🙂

BURN2 2013 Town Hall Press Release

A new press release has been released giving out details about the upcoming BURN2 town hall meeting on the playa at the Burning Man – Deep Hole region in Second Life. There are two town hall meetings which will be taking place at center camp on Saturday 9th February 2013 at 9am SLT and then again at 6pm SLT. The aim for the BURN2 town hall meetings is to talk about upcoming BURN2 events and what things need to be changed etc. There will be details about applying to volunteer for BURN2 2013 events and much more at the town hall meetings. The Burning Man Community in SL comes together twice yearly to talk about what they want to see, what they want to do, what has been planned, what should be planned, to learn what’s changed and give input on what SHOULD be changed. So why should you come to a Town Hall? Well you can …
Find out about BURN2 and how you can be a part of it.
Find out about hosting events on Deep Hole Sim. Yes, you can use the sim for an art event, meeting, weekend performance, classes, you name it!
Get all the info on volunteering…there are no bystanders, YOU make the events at BURN2!
Get a sneak peak into the early planning for the upcoming BURN as we announce the dates!
Find out about this year’s theme…Cargo Cult!
Come early! Lamplighters will be drumming at 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM to get you in the mood!
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early on Burning Man – Deep Hole sim and proceed to Center Camp.
To keep you occupied between Town Halls we will once again have Paintball on the Playa…or the Zombie APlayaClypse! That’s right…Grab a paintball gun, smoosh paint at the attacking Zombies (they are walking dead anyway) and splatter your friends. Expect Music and DJs too! Wear washable prims only please.

BURN2 is an extension of the Burning Man festival and community into the world of Second Life. It is an officially sanctioned Burning Man regional event, and the only virtual world event out of more than 100 real world Regional groups.
The BURN2 Team operates events year around, culminating in an annual major festival of community, art and fire in the fall – a virtual echo of Burning Man itself.
