  1. O M G! : )

Thanks for including Cool Beans in this list, and at NUMBER 2. I love coffee shops in Second Life. And hope this post gets more people to stop by. Coffee shops do not get huge numbers (perhaps with the exception of the Inkwell and Pixel Bean which hold events), but are awesome places to chill with a friend. I notice that people who come in with a friend tend to stay much longer than those that come alone.

Thanks again Daniel for including Cool Beans!

  2. I’ve gone to many cafe’s inworld hoping for some early morning conversation before getting ready for the day and they’re usually empty. I stick around awhile, take pics, but otherwise don’t understand the purpose of their existence if they’re always going to be empty.

  3. At one point I put together an in-world group of other coffee shop owners with the hope of brainstorming for ideas of how to increase traffic. Then RL hit and I left SL for 3 months. The steam was gone. The busiest time for Cool Beans is the morning hours in the US. Generally, my logs show I get about 5 new visitors a day between 6 – 12 central time (US). I try to be there as often as I can in the AM to chat with people. I think more early morning events like readings or maybe some light acoustic music would be good for getting and keeping people interested as well.
