SL Android apps list 2012 updated


Since my last post back in January 2012 there have been some more new SL Android apps that are now available on Google Play on the Android Market. Some are paid for but most are free SL apps worth trying out. My next post will be early next year relating to SL Android apps for 2013 to try out. Enjoy!

1. Creatorverse (£3.14)

Become an inventor as you design unique creations and then set them in motion. You’ll never know what to expect as you watch your creations bounce, roll, tilt — or even accelerate on the screen. Let your creations come to life as you play with different joints, forces, motors, and teleporters and then watch what happens next. From the simplest bouncing ball to an elaborate pinball machine, the possibilities for tinkering are endless on Creatorverse.

2. Lumiya  (£1.84)

Lumiya is a Second Life and OpenSim client with 3D world view. With Lumiya, you can send and receive instant messages, teleport to your favorite Second Life locations, participate in local chat, interact with objects, manage your inventory, and even see the virtual world around you in 3D.

3, Mobile Grid Client (Free for the first 14 days then LS250 pay monthly basis)

Mobile Grid Client is a Second Life (SL) and Open Simulator (OpenSim) messaging client/viewer with local chat, IM, group chat, people search, mini map, the ability to teleport, inventory support and more.

4. Second Life Disco Player – (Free)

Second Life Disco Player. Now can listen the disco music on Second Life. Now You can listen the music of the clubs in Second Life on your mobile. This application shows you the list of registered clubs on the web

5. DroidSL – (Free)

Send instant messages to Second Life avatars from your phone with DroidSL app!. DroidSL is a one-way communication service that allows Second Life avatars to send instant messages directly from their Android phones to other avatars in-world. You must buy a DroidSL Server on the Second Life Marketplace at http://bit.ly/droidslmp, then rez it on your land and follow the on-screen instructions.

6. LightSight – (Free)

SecondLife viewer. You can’t select place to visit. To visit other locations are required to purchase a paid service in app.

7. SmartBotSL – (Free)

It features a contact list (independent of your Second Life friends list) which enables you to send messages to any resident. You can add contacts by searching for their name, or by adding them from within the region tab, if they can’t be found in search.

8. SLTalk – (82p)

The app is Second Life (such as online games) and chat with Android smartphone
