KelvinBlue Oh has passed away

Sad news to report that KelvinBlue Oh passed away in his sleep earlier this week. KelvinBlue Oh was a excellent and talented musician who performed in Second Life. His music will go on forever and he will be missed deeply by his RL friends/SL friends.

A group notice was sent out soon after the news was announced from the Friends of KelvinBlue Oh group..

I’m sorry to inform everyone that we lost one of Second Life’s best bluesmen, Kelvin Blue Oh, last night. He passed away in his sleep. We are working on a memorial service and will be sending notices for the service and soon will have boxes at venues where he played for people to drop a note to his family or Gwyn. Ty, and we will miss you Oh Blue Kelvin.

It’s Relay For Life weekend in Second Life 2011

Today marks the official first day of Relay For Life weekend 2011 in Second Life. Starting from 10am SLT today the event continues until Sunday morning. This is the seventh annual Relay For Life event and this year there are 42 RFL sims to explore.

Relay Weekend  is a fun-filled, overnight event that unites SL individuals throughout the world to celebrate survivors (anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer), remember loved ones and raise money for the fight against cancer.

RFL 2011 Schedule 

Saturday 16th July 2011

  • 10am SLT – Opening Ceremony
  • 11am SLT – Celebrate survivors / care-givers honour walk
  • 9pm SLT – Luminara Ceremony
Sunday 17th July 2011
  • 6am SLT – Fight Back event
  • 10am SLT – Closing ceremony

The theme for this year is Seasons of Hope.
