VWBPE 2011 Committee Extending Deadline

Virtual Worlds Best Practicies In Education is extending the deadline for all submissions to Tuesday 15th February, 2011. This year marks it’s 4th annual conference hosted in Second Life. The conference starts on Thursday 17th March 2011 and runs through to Saturday 19th March 2011.

The VWBPE Committee is extending the deadline for all submissions from January 31, 2011 to February 15, 2011 owing to the need to accept late submissions to the Machinima track.

What is VWBPE ?

The Virtual Worlds Best Practice in Education (VWBPE) is a community-based conference that provides opportunities for participants in all virtual worlds to share current teaching, learning, and research practices in 3D virtual environments. Conference presentations focus on teaching/learning, scholarly work, projects, events, activities and new and innovative tools for virtual education. Presenters will focus on the identification of best practices in education designed for 3D virtual world technology.

In previous years inworld I throught that the conferences have been useful, interesting and enjoyable to learn all about virtual worlds and the very latest research through presentations. I definitely recommend this conference for all SL educators and folks that want to know more. If you have been before then feel free to share how your experience went of VWBPE.
