Learn about Bump Maping – Tutorial 12

@12

Well…its a graphical rendering technique in which a “bump map” texture is applied to the surface of a 3D object in order to give it a richer visual appearance closer to that of the real world.  You can apply bump maps to some of your objects in the world of Second Life to create a very stimulating visual experience which you won’t forget in a hurry, woot woot!

Log into Second Life, Make or rez a object on the ground (Click Build). Then (Right Hand Click on your object) > (Select Edit) > (More) > (Texture Tab) > (Click on the Bumpiness dropdown) > (Select map from the list) > Yay, mission completed you should now see that the object’s surface looks very different, why not compare the difference with and without and see what happens!
